Fall Back In Time!
My aunt Debbie phoned to let me know she had a posting on her facebook wall that lead her to some really cool old pictures. A time when Leakey Texas moved a little slower. The pictures are of downtown Leakey, businesses and families in the mid 1970’s. They have a few of the names wrong, the picture of the two gentlemen on the stumps in front of the old drugstore I know is wrong, the man in front is my great great uncle, Sterling Price Buchanan. But putting the misspelling and errors aside, what a great find!! Thanks to Shawn Strieb Gray and Debbie Darter for letting everyone know about the website. Check it out for yourself. It’s GREAT!!

Upcoming Hill Country Events
I am from Leakey Texas and what a beautiful and wonderful place to be a part of. Frio Canyon is the moxt peaceful place in the Texas Hill Counrty. What a great and freindly atmosphere we have here, and now thanks to this “new” newspaper I think that more and more people are going to see just how beautiful this area really is! Great addition to the Teaxs Hill Country!! Thank You Mrs. Corley!
I agree that the Hill
country, expecially Leakey is the best place to live.We love the Frio River and the people here are very friendly.
