This past Sunday the Real County Junior Livestock Show Association held a project validation in Barksdale. The students must register each project and the animals must have the proper tags in order to show in January.
Joel Pigg, Real County Extension Agent, guided the students and volunteers in the process. Melissa Bates, association secretary, and Lorri Gonzalez assisted the students and parents with registration. Association President, Mark Crider and Vice President, James Brice tagged the animals. An earlier validation was held in Leakey.
