After months of controversy, the Uvalde County Commissioner’s Court awarded the Hotel Occupancy tax (HOT) contract to the Uvalde Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber said recently they would propose a 6% tax and has assured taxpayers they will hire a director of tourism.
