ELECT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE, VICKY CANTRELL-TREASURER

Dear Voter,

I am asking for your continued support and especially your VOTE in the upcoming April 13th Republican Primary Runoff Election for Real County Treasurer. With the retirement of current treasurer, Kathy Brooks, I decided to seek this very important county position. As the daughter of the late Harvey and Shirley Cantrell, I have had the privilege of living and working in this county all my life and I would consider it an honor to serve you as Real County Treasurer.
My career began at the Bank of Frio Canyon in 1979 after receiving my Associate in Applied Science Degree from Southwest Texas Junior College. I worked in all departments of the bank from Teller to Cashier. During my 27 years at the bank I gained extensive experience in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, office management, human resources and customer service.
When Bank of Frio Canyon changed ownership, I joined the Community Health Development as the Business Officer Manager for Rolling Hills Health in Leakey and Canyon Health Center in Camp Wood. I am currently employed with Pathways Youth and Family Services as an accounting associate in the administrative office.
Over the years I have had the pleasure of volunteering with different community organizations (Leakey PTO, Frio Canyon EMS, Real Co Jr. Horse Club, Real County Relay For Life) and I serve as treasurer for First Baptist Church and Day Care. I believe that the county treasurer can help the citizens of the county in ways above and beyond her official duties. I plan to do this by continuing my volunteer work to benefit the communities in Real County.

I believe the experience and skills I have acquired through my work and volunteer services the past 30 years have prepared me for the duties required as the chief custodian of the county’s funds. I promise you that I will work diligently alongside all Real County elected officials and employees to make Real County the best that it can be. Like you I want this county to continue to be a great place to live, work and raise our families.
I would greatly appreciate your consideration as you return to the polls for the April Runoff Election. Early voting takes place April 5th-9th at the Real County Courthouse and April 6th & 8th at the Camp Wood County House. Once again, please know that I would consider it an honor and a privilege to serve YOU as your Real County Treasurer.
