Our local weather lady, JoAnn Fisher says Leakey received 3.60 inches of rain in January and another 3 inches so far in February!!

Looking to the future, the scene hasn’t been so bright for Leakey, Texas and the Frio River. The Leakey Eagles lost a heart breaker to the Comstock Panthers here Friday night in district 31-A action.  The loss dropped the Eagles to 2 and 3 in the district and into a three-way tie for second place.  Knippa wrapped up the district with a win over Utopia and that left Utopia, Comstock, and Leakey all tied for the last two spots.  The final score was 46 for Comstock and 44 for Leakey.  The Eagles enjoyed a ten point lead a couple of minutes …

A performance on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 8 p.m. of a holiday concert by singer Lee Colee will be held at the Grand Opera House inUvalde.  The Christmas event is being sponsored by the Uvalde Arts Council.
